Ah... the Dead Air Sandman S, where do I begin?

This suppressor holds a special place in my heart because it was the first suppressor that started our journey. From purchasing our first suppressor to opening our shop, this suppressor has been our go to this whole time. Now, let me explain why.

Hard use, great performance, and low back pressure, need I say more? Featuring the key-mo mounting system, this is a fun suppressor that can hang with the best of them during your range day with various guns. With that being said, keep in mind is this is not the suppressor for you if you are thinking of a "James Bond" quiet suppressor. This is a great option for the hard use clientele or for people who want to be able to swap between gun platforms quickly. I personally like to run the sandman-s during coyote hunting because it allows me to forgo ear protection (user discretion advised) during the hunt, and disconnect the suppressor for transport in my 36" range bag.

So how exactly did it do? Let me tell you. I tested this out on an UnbrandedAR UAR-C 16" Ar15, a good middle of the road, stock AR that most people will find themselves using. I find that testing on a basic AR15 platform is good because there are a lot of people out their who aren't tuning their rifles and just want an honest review of what they should expect straight out of the box. I was shooting Winchester M855 Green Tip 5.56x45mm NATO 62 Grain FMJ Centerfire Rifle Ammo, my range day go to ammunition. 

My decibel meter has an accuracy of +/-2dB, so take that into consideration. After a few magazines, I got an average of 136.4dB. Not too shabby. Brass was ejecting at around 2:30, so no complaints there since the rifle wasn't tuned. Only complaint that I could think of is the weight of the suppressor itself. It's not overly heavy, weighing in at 17.7oz, but it is noticeable. Titanium cans might have spoiled me. 

In all honesty, this is a solid choice for for people who want to quiet down their range days while staying at a good price point, $849.00.
