Silencer Reviews - YHM Turbo T3
Affordable cans that get the job done, Yankee Hill Machine Co's specialty.
The turbo T3 is a can that I have mixed opinions on, but when you consider its price point of $550, its a solid option. The phantom quick detach system functions well, but it is a tad of an eye sore if the suppressor is not mounted.
So how exactly did it do? Let me tell you. I tested this out on an UnbrandedAR UAR-C 16" Ar15, a good middle of the road, stock AR that most people will find themselves using. I find that testing on a basic AR15 platform is good because there are a lot of people out their who aren't tuning their rifles and just want an honest review of what they should expect straight out of the box. I was shooting Winchester M855 Green Tip 5.56x45mm NATO 62 Grain FMJ Centerfire Rifle Ammo, my range day go to ammunition. For giggles, I also tried it out on a full-auto Colt M16A1.
The first thing that I noticed was the amount of back pressure. This is a gassy can that needs a tuned rifle to increase performance.
This isn't the quietest suppressor around, but it knocks the edge off. Ear pro is still recommended for range day.
This is a very durable can with 17-4 Stainless Steel and 718 Inconel blast baffle. This is a suppressor that is built to last and will last you a long time. For the price point, you can't go wrong with this can.
